On the 5th August 2011 a bilateral meeting in Erfurt was held between Ms. Hrytsyshyn and Mr. Pidhorodetsky. Main topics were the information exchange concerning the extension of the Lviv airport. Mr Pidhorodetskyy, director of Lviv airport and of the Lviv airline "Lvivski Avialinii" explained the current state and the following steps. On 24. August the new runway has been opened in attendance of the Ukrainian Minister for regional development Mr. Kolesnihov.
